4th Street-level Bureacracy Conference

Konferencer

Summary

The ambition of the conference is to develop an international network for Street-level Bureaucracy (SLB) research. SLB research investigates the role of frontline employees (eg. social workers, health professionals & teachers) as it is these employees who - in the encounters with citizens - translate policy into practice. SLB research is central when it comes to shifting the focus from a top-down implementation mindset to a bottom-up focus where society's Street-level Organizations are included in the research. The SLB conferences have become the gathering point for researchers from all over the world within the field of SLB research. Michael Lipsky (the founding father of the Street-level Bureaucracy tradition) highlights this conference as the central place for new thinking at the moment

SSR
