Per Durst-Andersen | The aim of this project is twofold. First, we study how Global English works in the globalised business world with the Carlsberg Group as an example. Secondly, by investigating how business people from Great Britain, China, Japan, Russia, and Denmark make different types of requests in English, how they understand an English text and how the associative network works when dealing with the English lexicon.

Rune Frederiksen | 2011-2014 Dr Rune Frederiksen – then director of the Danish Institute at Athens – was given four subsequent grants from the Carlsberg Foundation during 2011-2014 to carry out a complete excavation, study and publication of the theatre at the ancient Greek city state of Kalydon. The project was carried out as a new Danish-Greek collaborative project.

Reflecting this, it is increasingly, but controversially argued that megafaunas should be reintroduced to restore their ecological functions to promote self-regulating biodiverse ecosystems (trophic rewilding).
