Monograph Fellowships are only awarded to tenured senior researchers affiliated to a Danish research institution.
The Carlsberg Foundation covers the fellow’s full salary and operating expenses of DKK 5,000 per month. Coverage of publication expenses must be applied for separately at the end of the project.
Operating expenses are at the grant holder’s disposal to cover conferences, study trips, etc., and cannot be used to cover overhead costs and administration fees.
Monograph fellows cannot at the same time carry out teaching or heavy administrative duties. Limited supervision of PhD students or Master students is however accepted.

Project description
The project description must not exceed two A4 pages (including figures, tables, etc.). The two A4 pages must not exceed 6,000 characters including spaces, figure captions, formulas, etc.
References/ bibliography must be added in direct continuation of the project description.
The font Times New Roman, font size 12, at least 2 cm margin on the left, right, top and bottom, and line spacing of 1.5. must be used.
Curriculum Vitae
The CV must not exceed two A4 pages.
List of publications
A list of publications for the last five years must be uploaded.
Budget
An itemised budget for the amount applied for must be uploaded using the Carlsberg Foundation budget template.
Salary confirmation
A salary confirmation signed by the host institution certifying the accuracy of the salary applied for must be uploaded using the Carlsberg Foundation template.
