Christos Markos | This project constitutes an efficient way of developing novel optical fibres that are able to generate and transmit light in the mid-IR range.
Therese Strand | This project studies short-termism in the financial markets with the objective of exploring and comparing post financial crisis strategies in the Europe and the United States.
Internationalisation Fellowship | 27/05/2016
Martin Cramer Pedersen | This project aims at constructing mathematical models of quasicrystals using a geometric method, which involves covering surfaces in 3 euclidean dimensions with patterns from 2-dimensional curved space.
Pétur Orri Heiðarsson | Fuzzy complexes represent one part of the currently on-going paradigm shift in structural biology, and understanding their mechanism of formation could lead to a fundamentally altered view of biomolecular recognition and new therapeutic prospects.
Eva Knoch | In order to fully exploit plant natural products we need to understand their biosynthesis. Eva Knoch's research project focuses on gene discovery in plant natural product biosynthesis in order to understand the production and roles of these compounds in plants.
Johannes Borregaard | Quantum systems have the potential to revolutionise present technology employing powerful quantum computers, unconditionally secure quantum cryptography, and extremely precise metrology. This project has focused on two aspects of how to use quantum systems for information processing.
Mille Lillethorup | The objective of the research project is to develop new types of linking chemistries compatible with molecular layer deposition (MLD), by utilising light-activated organic coupling reactions.
Internationalisation Fellowship | 04/05/2016
Franziska Eller | Floodplain forests are species-rich, endangered habitats, which provide numerous ecosystem services such as the retention of flooding water and pollutants. Healthy floodplain forests function as carbon sinks and can therefore contribute to counteracting climate change.
