Summary

Climate change crises poses social and economic challenges especially in densely populated urban settings. We examine how heatwaves and air pollution, alone and combined, affect adult working population productivity in terms of sick leave, and estimate related costs, in one of the most and least polluted and climate change/heat affected cities in Europe: Novi Sad, Serbia, and Copenhagen, Denmark.
