What?

The project establishes the Danish Innovation Index as a research excellence group dedicated to decoding Danish firm innovativeness from the consumer perspective. By transforming a large-scale database of consumer perceptions into structured research, it creates a unique research platform to understand why Danish firms consistently lead in innovativeness across multiple industries

Why?

Although global corporations dominate markets, Danish firms often excel in consumer-perceived innovativeness within their industries. This phenomenon is widely neglected despite the better understanding of why Danish firms are being perceived innovative could help address challenges related to digital, sustainable, and responsible innovation, ensuring these insights are not lost but shared widely.

How?

This grant funds a dedicated research group, including two PhD students focusing on digital/commercial and responsible innovation. Drawing on the Danish Innovation Index research database, consumer behavior experiments, and other multi-method research approaches, the team will generate actionable research that helps future innovations and decisions be more responsible, inclusive and sustainable.
