Summary

DANTRADE will open up Denmark’s trade past by digitising statistics, tariffs, and treaties from 1830–2000. Covering everything from the age of sail to the EU, it will create a lasting dataset showing how a small country navigated globalisation, crises, and protectionism. The resource will allow researchers and the public to explore how Denmark’s choices shaped its place in the world.
