Colluthus: New textual Edition and Commentary

Colluthus’ poem, the Abduction of Helen, is a playful but complex miniature epic written in Late Antiquity. This project will provide a new critical edition of the Greek text, the first English translation in a century and an in-depth commentary, showing how this overlooked poem recasts the Trojan myth through allusion, intertextuality, and cultural transformation.
