Summary
The project will install a long-term monitoring system with real-time transmission via satellite of temperature data from a limestone cave in Northeast Greenland. This will be a unique installation in the entire Arctic region. Such data are valuable for calibrating and improving climate models, especially for Greenland where climate data outside the icecap and for the subsurface are very sparse.
