Through interviews I examine how 3 southern European cities with little tradition of citizen involvement in planning drew on diverse residents in their recent climate contracts. I will write 2 articles comparing these cities' distinct ways of involvement: citizen convention, collaborative pacts, and 3D participation; and how urban planners understand the role of residents in climate change era.
