Summary
Over a six-week field season, the Tapir Mountain Archaeological Project will conduct systematic excavations at the ancient Maya site of Pook’s Hill, a Late-to-Terminal Classic (AD 550-900) residential group, located in central Belize, to document its terminal occupation phases, prior to its eventual abandonment, and shed light on changing adaptive strategies on the eve of the Maya collapse.
