Fear is unpleasant — yet people around the world actively seek it out in horror films, haunted attractions, and risky play. This one-day international workshop at Aarhus University's Recreational Fear Lab brings together leading researchers to explore the frontiers of recreational fear science, examining why humans are drawn to frightening experiences and what benefits they may provide.
