Summary The overall aim of the monograph is to significantly push further our understanding of (a) what constitutes the formation and stabilization of human groups at different levels of organization; (b) what cognitive traits underlie such group formations; (c) how cultural models involved in stabilization of group formations feedback on human cognition; and (d) how these insights might inform studies of historical developments. Once published, the book will be submitted as a doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Arts, Aarhus University
