Mechanics of Hearing 2020 - MOH2020

Estimates of the WHO project the number of people with hearing impairment to 10% of the global population in the year 2020. The "Mechanics of Hearing Workshop" connects researchers with an interdisciplinary mindset to tackle the worldwide social and socio-economic challenges connected to hearing impairment. Bringing together the leading experts in the field of cochlear mechanics will help to overcome the current shortcomings in our understanding of this complex system using recent insight from technology, neuroscience, physics and mathematics. The proceedings of this workshop with the theme "Nonlineary and Hearing" will be openly available, document the current challenges in the field, and define the future direction towards a deeper understanding and appreciation of our sense of hearing.
