Nordic Labour History Conference (NLHC 2020)

Our aim with the conference is to bring together scholars and students working within the different areas of Nordic labour history to discuss findings in a Nordic comparative – and where applicable global – perspective as well as to explore the scope of labour history as such. Labor history has traditionally been centered on labour organisations – which will still be one of the core subjects of the conference – but the conference is also encouraging participants to expand ideas of what can be understood as part of the history of Labour. Moreover, we want to use the possibility to strengthen Nordic co-operation and transnational research across both institutional frameworks such as universities, archives and museums, and the growing number of independent or freelance researchers.
