Resumé
Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing discipline in different scientific fields such as pharmaceutics, medicine, chemistry, and engineering. Accurate knowledge about size, homogeneity and structure of nanomaterials is of uppermost importance for their functionality and safety. Asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (AF4) in combination with multi-angle light scattering (MALS) is a powerful tool to analyze all kind of nanomaterials. Due to the separation step (AF4) prior sample analysis (e.g. MALS), even complex samples such as drug nanocarriers in serum can be analyzed. As AF4/MALS is not a standard analytical equipment at universities, maintenance and upgrading the existing instrument at SDU will support a high level of research and collaboration with colleagues in Denmark and abroad.
