Isothermal Titration Calorimeter for Molecular Recognition Studies

Aimed at understanding the fundamentals of molecular recognition of genuinely important chemical and biochemical systems, we plan to purchase a MicroCal PEAQ-ITC instrument that will allow much more precise and faster investigations on molecular recognition of biomolecules that play essential roles in human health and disease, as well as studying the noncovalent interactions that take place in functional molecular and supramolecular systems. With modern ITC, we will be able to study many different molecular recognition processes of high importance to chemistry, biology and pharmacy. ITC will contribute to excellence in research and education of students needed for Danish companies.
