Evaluating the environmental status and potential for ecosystem restauration in Danish benthic habitats through 3D ecological models and remote sensing via a multicore processor PC.

Our research is in need of a high performance computer, to carry on a wide range of ongoing and future projects. We work within the areas of ecological modelling, big data analyses and machine learning. Our primary focus is to contribute to the understanding of ecosystem functionalities and services of key habitats in the coastal region. We work as well to develop methods for big data collection and postprocessing of collected data. We try to combine both empirical data with modelled data to improve system understanding, upscaling results to water body scale or even National scale. We also develop spatial planning tools to improve environmental conditions in the coastal region.
