Resumé

The grant supports the purchase of key instrumentation (Dynamic light scattering instrument) for studies of nanoparticles. The new instrument will support and strengthen the ongoing research at the Nano-Science Center and Department of Chemistry in new nanomaterials. Specifically, the development of ultra-bright fluorescent organic nanoparticles for biomedical assays and imaging applications, fluorescent polymer particles for optical sensor development, and the studies of growth mechanisms of metal oxide clusters and particles for energy storage applications.
