Resumé

The Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University has established a Cardiovascular Phenotyping Core Facility that aims to provide outstanding expertise on characterization of animal and disease models. We will upgrade our facility with a non-invasive system that allows for structural and functional imaging of tissues in experimental animals. The state-of-the-art Vevo 3100 system offers an outstanding spatial and temporal resolution, allowing for high-quality imaging in small rodents, amphibians and fish. The system will be used in several projects within cardiovascular, neuroscience, cancer and kidney research. The wide application area helps the need for a varied biomedical research, focusing on high-quality methods and animal welfare.
