Art and the City: Urban Space, Art and Social Change

This conference brings together international scholars with an interest in art, architecture and city development, urban heritage, urban creativity, and citizen engagement and democracy in the urban public space. The goal is to engage in a multifaceted, multi-disciplinary, and multi-geographic perspective to produce a richer and more integrated understanding of the aesthetic and social function of the cities. With 33 presenters from 23 disciplines across the globe, the conference serves as a hub for scholars across social sciences and humanities to engage in academic and public policy dialogues and collaborations on how to create a more sustainable. democratic, and citizen-friendly urban spaces.
