Forests in a changing world: Optimizing infrastructure for high-throughput sequencing in forest ecosystem research

The aim of my proposal is to assure equipment and workflows in our DNA lab enabling us to efficiently handling a range of samples such as bark, wood, leaf, root, spores, pollen, and soil samples for high throughput sequencing. The expected outcome is a fully updated DNA lab aimed for large numbers of DNA/RNA extractions of challenging samples applicable for downstream HTS applications central for our continued research in forest ecosystems.
