Epistemes and Materialities of Extractive Capitalism

This international workshop brings together scholar interested in the governance of extraction and its material footprints. We are thus interested in empirical studies that examine the impacts of extractive capitalism on our environments, and try to unpack the many different ways in which new forms of resource governance and its contestation affect meanings and knowledges of land and resources. The workshop builds upon and engages in ongoing global dialogues on how academics can contribute to building more just and sustainable futures.
