Theorising Media and Time

Our world and daily lives are saturated with media and this has increasing effects on the way we live and experience time. The funding is used to organise and hold an academic workshop to theorise the relationship between media and time and substantiate it with empirical evidence. Given the enormous impact in particular new media have on perceptions of time, the workshop is an innovative and significant contribution to anthropological research on media and temporality. It draws on an already established network of international scholars and it is thus expected that the workshop's insights will have a rich afterlife, including high-ranking publications and ideas for future collaboration.
