International symposium on social evolution research

This international symposium will provide a networking platform for global social insect researchers whose careers were indelibly shaped by Prof. Jacobus J. Boomsma's Centre of Excellence in Social Evolution (CSE). At its peak, the CSE was a world-renowned hub for scientists studying the fundamental evolutionary forces that promote and discourage cooperation. The event will include retrospective talks that commemorate this legacy and prospective talks that map current research frontiers whose boundaries will be explored in the coming decade. In this way, the symposium will reinforce the network initiated by CSE, solidify existing international collaborations among leaders in the field, provide new networking opportunities for students, and lay the foundation for new inititatives.
