Caring Places: Exploring the Topographies of Ethics and Care

In this cross-disciplinary conference, we explore the relationship between practices of care and ethics and the places in which such practices unfold. Raising this question, focusing specifically on “places” as resources in ethics and care, we open new creative avenues for approaching some of most urgent of current societal issues such as challenges of providing care in welfare states and healthcare systems under demographic and economic pressure, of developing new creative approaches to the crisis in the mental health and of caring for the environments that ultimately sustain life.
