Copenhagen Money in Politics Conference 2023

The Copenhagen Money in Politics Conference 2023 will bring together scholars from a variety of fields to discuss new research on the role of money in politics. Money has long plaid an important role in politics, but has the potential to undermine democratic processes. As a consequence, public policy may reflect the wishes and preferences of those able to spend significant amounts of money donating to and lobbying politicians and bureaucrats. The conference will bring together junior scholars and more advanced scholars from Danish and top international universities. While the presented research makes important contributions to academic debates, it is also highly relevant for stakeholders and the general public to learn how we can protect our democracy from too much undue influence.
