Finding Order in Disorder by Laboratory X-Ray Total Scattering Experiments

Glass materials play a key role in society, but completely new types of glass materials are needed to enable their applications for a sustainable society. Developing such materials is the focal point of our laboratory. To achieve this, we need an advanced instrument (hard X-ray diffractometer) to resolve the atomic glass structure and thus tailor the glass properties for a targeted application.
