We will acquire a LIFDI (Liquid Injection Field Desorption Ionization), which allows us to determine the exact mass of fragile and/or sensitive compounds. Many catalytic compounds are either fragile or sensitive, which has previosuly prohibited their detection and characterization. This becomes possible with the LIFDI, which is a great step towards elucidating the structures of these species.
