Shared laboratory equipment: A multi-mode plate reader and qPCR machine

Cancer tissue and tissue receiving inadequate blood supply are characteristically acidic. We will use new imaging technologies for high throughput screening to identify cellular mechanisms responsible for transport and sensing of acids and bases, evaluate how these processes are regulated, and develop new inhibitors to alter their activity and ultimately pave the way for improved patient care.
