Resumé
The project aims to understand the basic cellular and molecular biology of how calcium is sensed by the kidney. Such basic knowledge may ultimately provide insights into the formation of kidney stones affecting many individuals today in an aging population. To study these mechanisms we need specialized equipment to measure calcium and other ions in our experimental models.
