Acid-base sensing and responses at tissue, cell and organelle level: Untangling the heterogeneity

The pH value of our tissues regulates numerous biological functions. The project aim is to show how changes in this pH impacts the functions and fate of our cells. We will use the CRISPR/Cas9 technique to find key genes, and we will characterize their roles using an advanced imaging system. The results will increase understanding of how the human body is developed and maintained healthy.
