Pockets of Punitiveness in the Welfare State

The aim of the workshop is to produce a special issue in a renowned international journal on Exceptional forms of coercive confinement. 15 international and local scholars of punishment come together in a two-day workshop to explore the analytical value of a novel concept - Pockets of Punitiveness - and its value for understanding punishment in the Nordic countries more generally.
