In a fast-paced digital era, cognitive control helps us manage multitasking and resist distractions. But as digital overload grows, breakdowns in control become more frequent, especially when fatigue or stress throws our arousal out of balance. To address this challenge, we need advanced models grounded in human data that can predict how control and arousal interact under digital strain.

I will combine studies of human behavior and physiological data with artificial intelligence to develop a biologically and psychologically realistic neural network model. This model will simulate how cognitive control is influenced by changes in arousal in digital environments, providing new insights into the breakdowns of control commonly experienced in today’s digital society.
