Microorganisms drive several essential chemical reactions on Earth. While advanced tools reveal microbial diversity, real-time tracking of their activities is still difficult. I aim to bring portable Raman spectroscopy to microbial studies, enabling non-invasive, real-time monitoring of microbial processes in soils and anaerobic cultures - empowering new ways to study microbes.
