Rethinking Political Hypocrisy in a Global State of Democratic Crisis

Why do we react so strongly to moral double standards? What are the democratic implications of increasing public scandalization of political hypocrisy? How, if ever, can it be justified? With hard data and controversial case studies this project will answer these questions and develop a new “political theory of pendulum” pointing towards a new type of leadership.
