Object play, tool use innovation, and adaptation in humans and beyond

This workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary group of scholars to explore the role of play for innovation. We will integrate new data from non-human animals and humans from around the globe with mechanistic explanations to better understand how play in childhood leads to more innovative adults and more innovative groups in the long term.
