Fieldwork is undertaken in the Ittili Valley in western Nuussuaq (West Greenland) aiming at finding Cretaceous ammonites – age diagnostic fossils – for dating the otherwise totally undated sedimentary succession in the area. Dating the more than 2000 m thick section is expected to provide correlation from the well-known geology of the eastern Nuussuaq and to the relatively well-known offshore area
