Hvad?

This project seeks to unlock more of theology’s intellectual resources in understanding how religion relates to violence. The purpose is to contribute to our understanding of religion, war, and violence from a theological standpoint. This is accomplished by developing a dramatic-theological understanding of (non-)violence suitable for the 21st Century.

Hvorfor?

In a time of war, unrest, and a rapidly shifting geopolitical order, understanding and questioning religion’s role in relation to violence is perhaps more important than ever.

Hvordan?

The project deals with the question of religion and violence from the perspective of dramatic theology. The innovative point of this project is to shift focus away from tragedy’s violent logic of exclusion to comedy’s idea of inclusion. In doing so, I seek to challenge and develop theology’s concept and understanding of (non-)violence.
