The Anthropology of Plastics: Ontologies, Socio-Materialities, Political Ecologies

This symposium will foster critical discussions about the complexities of dealing with pervasive plastic-related toxicity in a world that is completely dependent on plastics for health, food, and economic systems that are crucial to "real world” impacts mitigating the harms of plastics. It will also result in a state-of-the-art publication that will have substantial academic and public interest.
