Platform for fatigue testing and fatigue-driven materials design

AU will establish an energy-efficient fatigue testing platform to reveal how novel, advanced materials survive millions of load cycles. By linking structure and geometry of materials with their lifetime, we will design longer-lasting implants, wearables and green-energy components, reduce waste and CO2, and speed the safe, reliable adoption of Danish innovations from the laboratory to society.
