Resumé

A microwave reactor for organic synthesis is a convenient tool for promoting metal-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond formation reactions. This instrument will be used for the preparation of a variety of functional pi-conjugated molecules that are of interest for materials science. Target molecules include novel carbon allotropes derived from graphene, multi-redox systems, and molecular photoswitches.
