The Leica EM ACE600: Enabling Protein Aggregate and EM Research in Aarhus

Cells are constantly cleaning up harmful clumps of proteins to stay healthy. The Leica EM ACE600 machine will allow us to improve the visualization of these protein clumps inside cells in 3D with great detail, gaining unique information about how diseases characterized by protein clumps such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s develop and can possibly be treated.
