Infrastructure for the studies of genetic variation – from bacteria to animals

Our insight into evolution relies on understanding variation between cells, from antibiotics resistance in bacteria to fast growing cancer cells. We have discovered new types of genetic variation, which enables bacteria, yeast, and animal cells to evolve ultra rapidly. We now seek equipment for analysis of variation at single-cell level, potentially leading to new paradigms in evolutionary theory.
