Label-free FACS-based cell sorting to investigate signaling mechanisms in pancreatic islet cells

The endocrine pancreas consists of multicellular micro-organs, that play an important role in the regulation of whole body physiology. Here we apply for a Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter, using this we generate pure cell populations of the individual cell types that make up the endocrine pancreas and study how they work together to control whole body physiology.
