Resumé

The book depicts the work of justice in cases of crimes against humanity committed during the last dictatorship in Argentina. It follows judges, lawyers, prosecutors and victims as they negotiate, construct and sometimes thwart the “doing” of justice within and outside the Federal Courts. Justice is shown to be not a static idea nor an identifiable emotion but a changing collective experience.
