This conference aims to engage with intra-European colonial histories and/ or linguistic nationalism especially the Nordic colonial legacies (Sami, Greenlandic) and how they converge with multilingual postcolonial societies such as South Asia, South Africa & Colombia. Thus, it will develop a comparative insight on colonial and decolonial thought through language, moving beyond North-South polarity
