Humans are facing major shifts in climate, emerging infectious diseases, and novel foods produced from e.g. yeast. To ensure that future generations can cope with this, we are organizing an international meeting that empower upcoming scientists to use “metabolic chambers” to better understand basic energy metabolism and how our bodies best adapt to the environmental changes we are confronting.
