Despite the growing presence of AI as part of society and social life, a conference that focuses specifically on the intersection of sociolinguistics and AI is yet to be organised. The international conference Sociolinguistics and AI will bring together experts from around the world to explore new empirical, theoretical, and methodological avenues for sociolinguistics in the era of generative AI.
