Resumé

Our project seeks to study and digitize the collection of cuneiform tablets at the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen. Cuneiform tablets are among the world's oldest written documents from ancient Iraq and Syria, and some of these written documents stem from Danish excavations in the Near East (in Tell Shemshara, Iraq, and Tell Hama, Syria, supported by the Carlsberg Foundation). The project contributes to the preservation and publication of the cultural heritage of the ancient Near East. We collaborate with the international Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative to make this heritage accessible to a worldwide audience of specialists and non-specialists alike.
